Jindal Realty to invest Rs 1800 cr in Haryana

Jindal Realty, the realty arm of O. P.  Jindal Group, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Haryana to further boost their investment in developing Sonepat and Kurukshetra as new destination for investment. The company would invest Rs 1800 crore in developing four projects in these areas.

The MoU was signed between Arun Gupta, Director General Town and Country Planning Department, Government of Haryana and Gaurav Jain, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Jindal Realty Pvt Ltd in presence of Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar and other dignitaries at the ‘Happening Haryana’ summit held at Gurgaon on Monday. These projects would be taking off in the financial year of 2016-17.

On the occasion, Jain said “I am extremely pleased to announce that JRPL is taking its enduring relationship with the state of Haryana. It is one more step in the development of Sonepat Haryana’s prime industry and education hub. This investment is not only a boost to the economy of the state but also a fillip to Haryana as the sought destination. ”

Reiterating the company’s commitment to the state, Jain further said, “Haryana has always been at the forefront in industrial and real estate development and have provided superior infrastructure to companies especially in the real estate sector.” The company is already developing projects like Sonepat Global City and Kurukshetra Global City.

JRPL is a part of US $ 18 billion OP Jindal Group, one of India’s largest business conglomerates which has grown into segments spanning the steel, mining, power, industrial gases and ports verticals. The group was founded by Shri O.P. Jindal, a first-generation entrepreneur and steel visionary who started an indigenous single-unit steel plant in Hissar (Haryana) in 1952. It is now one of India’s most dynamic business organisations. Shri O.P. Jindal was an industrialist par excellence under whose aegis the OP Jindal Group grew from strength to strength. But for the world at large he was a leader of the masses, someone who would often champion the cause of the poor and downtrodden.

An enterprising spirit and ability to discern future trends, it has now diversified into Real Estate and Infrastructure Development by unveiling two landmark integrated housing projects Jindal Global City, Sonepat and Kurukshetra. While Jindal Global City, Sonepat is the leisure destination spread over 650 acres would offer Urban Farmhouses, Jindal Global City, Kurukshetra is the lifestyle destination spread over 89 acres and offers a holistic and luxurious lifestyle experience.
